In comparison to the multiplex-genotyping
systems developed in rainbow trout (Fishback et al.,
1999) and bluegill sunfish (Neff et al., 2000), in which
up to eight microsatellites could be co-amplified, the
throughput of our multiplex-genotyping system was
higher, hence allowing our multiplex system to be used
as a powerful tool in studying the genetic diversity and
broodstock management of Asian seabass.
