Instructions for IL2
1. The Flatmates Quiz 10%
1.1 Students have to find their own free time to study a BBC English learning program called ‘The Flatmates’ from episode 51 to 100 (see page 2-8 for ‘How to Learn the Flatmates’). Read ‘Background’ to know each character. Listen to the conversation to practise and click on the ‘language point’ part to study useful expressions, idioms, and grammar. After that, do the ‘quiz’ of that episode to check your understanding. The quizzes that you do online will not be counted as your real scores. You will have to take the paper quiz later with your teacher in the classroom.
1.2 The paper quiz will measure what you have studied from The Flatmates episodes 51-100. So, make sure that you study the language point and the quiz parts.
1.3 You will have to take the quiz in the classroom which will be during April 25-29, 2016. Your teacher will announce the exact date again. Be prepared for the quiz and try not to miss it.
2. Role-play VDO clip (The Flatmates Parody) 5%
2.1 This role-play project is a group work project. Form a group of 4-5 students and make a parody role-play VDO clip of ‘The Flatmates’. Everyone in the group have to be in the role-play. Choose 5 episodes from the following 20 episodes to act out, film the clips, and turn it in as a CD to teacher.
