I don’t even know where to start this:
I see people complaining about ShikaTema of all things. This was canon earlier in Part II when they confirm that they’re on a date. You should not have been surprised.
I understand the desire to know more about how the pairings developed and what the current relationships are between Sakura/Naruto, Sasuke/Naruto and seeing a bit more of Sasuke, but Kishi did say the movie is going to be about love so maybe he’s saving that for the movie.
People are still trying to insist that Naruto and Sasuke are gay or that Kishi wronged the fandom by making them straight despite the fact that: Naruto was in love with Sakura basically throughout the whole series, Sasuke has been saying he wants to rebuild his clan since he was like 12, which implies he wants biological children, even though they are close friends, their relationship is always presented as being brother-like, they are best friends, not lovers, the accidental kiss in one of the first episodes was awkward and embarrassing for them, not romantic, they’re close and they understand each other’s pain, but it’s never presented as romantic love.
People call SasuSaku abusive, but ship SasuNaru. Sasuke tries to kill Naruto. They are both physically violent towards each other multiple times throughout the series. Sasuke and Naruto were rivals and they fight physically and verbally way more than he has ever argued with Sakura, so if SasuSaku is an “abusive relationship”, so is NaruSasu.
Sasuke had so much emotional baggage that he couldn’t let Sakura in and couldn’t admit his feelings for her until the end, but they have plenty of moments in Part I. To name a few: he notices she’s feeling shitty about herself so he compliments her genjutsu before the Chuunin Exams in front of other people. Do we really see Sasuke giving out compliments very often?, she literally hugs away the darkness in him when he goes into a murderous rage because of the cursed seal and wants to kill anyone who hurts her, she spends her time healing him and carrying him and he doesn’t really object. None of this stuff would have happened between Naruto and Sasuke or Sakura and Naruto. Sasuke does the forehead poke thing with her, which is a sign of love for him. He thanks her and he never thanks any other characters. He acknowledges that his sins have nothing to do with her. He shows affection for her in ways that he never shows for another character so I don’t see why people don’t think he loves her.
Sakura just never liked Naruto that way. Unlike Sasuke, she had no emotional baggage that stopped her from admitting her feelings. She grew up as a person and respects him as a teammate and likes him as a close friend, but she just never had romantic feelings for him and making her develop them would be perpetuating the idea that you can force someone to love you because you love them. Again, this is different from Sasuke because it’s implied Sasuke was just too hurt and in so much denial that he couldn’t accept or give love. Also, every one, including Naruto knows it’s bullshit when Sakura falsely “confesses” love for Naruto when Sasuke was away.
NaruHina makes sense because Naruto makes Hinata want to better herself. To me, the idea is that Naruto was so obsessed with the idea of loving the pretty Sakura who wasn’t interested that he never noticed a really nice girl who he gets along with being in love with him until she confesses it. He never rejects her; he was just totally oblivious to her love for him. So once again, this isn’t forcing someone with no feelings to develop them.
Sakura cleaning her house like every other normal person who owns a house does not make her “weak.” She’s still an incredible healer and ninja. I don’t see why people think that her taking care of her daughter and house makes her development bad.The manga doesn’t even say she stopped being a ninja or stopped healing. No one does any fighting in the last chapter, so why does every one expect Sakura to be fighting and healing?
Naruto is not a shitty father for having a job to do. Neither is Sasuke, Kids want attention and don’t understand that their parents need to work, hence they act out when their parents are doing business, but Sasuke and Naruto’s kids are clearly loved and taken care of.
The manga in general has a history of people being forgiven easily. Neji is forgiven for trying to kill his cousin who he’s supposed to be willing to lay down his life for because he’s bitter about being in the branch family, even though Hinata has never done anything wrong to him personally. Yet this is forgiven once he’s sorry. Temari and Kankurou forgive Gaara for his abusive behavior that’s been going on for as long as they can remember. Yet no one was upset about this, but suddenly when Sasuke is forgiven by Sakura and Naruto every one freaks out.
