Then it was mixed with 3.2% mixture containing equal volume of hydrochloric acid & water. Figure 3 shows the front view of furnace. A furnace capacity 0.04m3 (radius-0.15m & height-0.5m) made up of fire bricks. The kantar wire in the form of spirals was inserted into the bricks and electrically heated. A container capacity 0.02m3(radius-0.12m & height-0.03m) was taken and its top side having open and small holes app 0.05cm apart on the bottom and all the sides of the container. Its opening was closed with asbestos for the fumes to go out. After this, it was taken into the reactor and heated at 140�C for 3hr followed by thermal activation at 600�C for 60min under a flow of nitrogen gas(70mL/min). After this, it was cooled to room temperature immediately. It was grinded in a ball mill for 5hr and taken for analysis. Finally it was sieved to different particle sizes (⁄75, 75-125, 125150, 150-180, 180-250 and 250-300μm) and stored in air tight containers.
