The preparing captive-breed eastern sarus cranes for experimental reintroduction back to Thailand’s natural wetland was initiated with the cooperation of the Zoological Park Organization, the Department of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation and Kasetsart University. It aimed to study the probability to the reintroduction of Eastern Sarus Crane from captive breeds to the natural wetland of Thailand. The results from the wetland rapid assessment that showed to the natural wetlands of Burirum province including of Huay-Jorakaemak and Sanambin non-hunting area were the first site to released the Eastern Sarus Crane back to the nature.
