He said the TIP upgrade would help restore foreign investor confidence, which should lead to more foreign investment to Thailand. Mr Poj projected the confidence would mean higher purchase orders for Thailand in the second half.
"Although Thai shipments shrank 1.9% year-on-year in the first five months, we believe exports will rebound into posi- tive territory in the second half of the year, boosting annual performance to 2-3% growth," he said.
