The flow profiles shown in Figs. 12 and 13, show the development of the bulk liquid velocity profile from the central entrance region to the outer extremity of the inter-disk gap where the liquid exits. The development of a reverse flow in the lower part of the gap as the radial coordinate increases is consistent with other simulations in spinning disk reactors [20]. Fig. 15 shows the development of the velocity profile in the case of the grooved disk, showing that the same reverse flow is observed within the groove spaces in addition to the main inter-disk spaces
