Hello [*]. My name is Ple Keawrodprai. I have a dispute which I thought I will never be able to compete with the other party since I do not have enough money to hire a lawyer. However, I am at my limit. I can only hope that you will be able to help me.
I have a child with a foreigner. Now we (my ex-husband and me) are divorced. I had agreed to let my child live with the father in England. There was no problem at the beginning. However, after living there for 7 months, everything changed. From being able to talk to my girl 3 times a week, I could only talk to her once a week. From that, now I can only talk to her once every two weeks. All of these changes is caused by my ex-husband’s wife, which is also Thai. She tried forcing me to stop contacting my child and she said she could do so. Moreover, when I tried asking to talk to my ex-husband, he would not let me talk to him. He does not keep his promise. We also agreed that he would be the one taking care of my child, not the stepmother who is, now, taking control of everything. If you have read this, please help me.
Honestly, I do not know much about legal aspect of the issue. I just want to talk to my girl like I used to, prohibit his new wife from controlling over this issue, and make my ex-husband keep his promise. Is there any way I can achieve this? Could you please give me some advice? I have thought about going to the Thai British Embassy and asking the embassy to issue a letter and send it to the father in order for him to acknowledge the problem. However, I have no idea of whether what I thought is practical or not. I felt so downcast by the problem and I really do not know what to do.
