In the cinema:
the customer must have a valid cinema ticket for one of the upcoming screenings
The following is forbidden in the cinema complex:
entrance with food and drinks purchased outside the cinema complex
entrance with any kind of weapons and firearms
smoking
filming and photographing inside the building without the permission of the management of the cinema;
skateboarding, bicycling and rollerblading;
entrance with animals;
to disturb other spectators and cause public disturbance;
to break or damage property;
to be under the influence of drugs or other psychotropic substances.
The customer’s obligations:
to keep the ticket until the end of the screening
upon the receipt of 3D glasses to check their technical condition and immediately inform the staff if any defect has been found. If any damage is found after the customer has entered the auditorium, the glasses will be regarded as damaged by the customer.
In case of damage of 3D glasses please contact the film theatre staff immediately and exchange the glasses.
In the auditorium:
the customer must have a valid cinema ticket for the respective screening;
it is forbidden to disturb other customers and ruin the cinema experience for them;
it is forbidden to use the mobile phone;
it is forbidden to put your feet on the seats;
it is forbidden to take along large gym bags and other large objects that can restrict other people’s movements between rows, thus causing hazardous situations during possible evacuation;
upon leaving the auditorium 3D glasses are to be left with the staff or at the place designated for the glasses;
after the end of the screening the customer must leave the auditorium through the exit and follow the signs down the staircase and out of the building.
The cinema recommends:
do not take infants to the screening since the loud noise can make them cry;
to turn to the staff and inform them about persons who violate the in-house regulations;
to inform the cinema staff about misconduct in auditoriums by sending a SMS to 1188. The text of the SMS: FC [space] number of auditorium [space] short description of misconduct. (Example: FC 8 noise);
people suffering from epilepsy and/or migraine are recommended to consult the doctor before attending 3D shows;
Information about the items left and found at the film theatre is available at the box office.
The cinema has the right:
to ask for an ID of a customer if the movie rating has established a certain age limit or to determine whether the customer is eligible for a discount ticket;
to refuse to sell cinema tickets to a person whose age is under the limit established by the movie rating, even if the person is accompanied by an adult;
to admit children up to the age of 5 (incl.) to family films free of charge only if they sit on the lap of a parent or guardian who has a valid adult ticket during the entire screening;
not to sell tickets to persons who are visibly intoxicated and/or cause public disturbance;
not to sell cinema tickets to persons who are not sufficiently dressed or who have serious hygiene problems;
to check suspicious bags and other items;
to eject those who violate the in-house rules and regulations of the cinema and who have tried to cheat the cinema by not paying for the cinema ticket. In case of a more serious offence, the violator will be handed over to the police;
to decline selling tickets to persons who have previously violated the in-house rules and regulations or who have been caught at embezzlement attempts;
in case of a damage or loss of 3D glasses the penalty price is 15,00 €.
The cinema is not responsible:
for the customers’ personal belongings
Official Rules
1. ELIGIBILTY:
Short10Cinema competitions are international challenges. Anybody can enter. Employees, prodcucers sponsors, spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, relatives or any person with any personal tie to Short10Cinema may not be able to enter.
2. HOW TO ENTER:
Check the Film Challenges page to check on current or future competition registrations and instructions. Early Bird Registration is $75/ Regular Regestration is $125. All costs associated with the production of the Entry are solely the responsibility of the Entrant. All Entrants must be at least 18 years of age. If registrant is under 18 years of age a parent or legal guardian must sign the team leader release form available in the form packet which will be sent to the registrants.
3. REFUNDS:
If a team must withdraw from any of the competitions, there must be a two week notice from the day of the registration date from team. Only 50% of the paid registration is refunded. So plan ahead!
4. HOW THE COMPETITIONS WORK:
At “Kick Off” time, Short10Cinema will send teams their assignment which will include the elements that are required to incorporate into the film. Teams will have 100 hours from the kick off time to produce a 10 minute short film in 100 hours. The kick off starts on a Thursday evening at 7pm PST and end on the following Monday at 11:59pm PST.
ASSIGNED ELEMENTS: We at Short 10 Cinema believe it is ultimately important to produce high-quality short films. It is not our intent that the elements affect the storyline, but rather to ensure that the films are created within the 100-hour challenge duration. Therefore, each film will contain 3 elements, consisting of props and/or dialogue. The elements can appear in any order, however, each one-third of the film must contain one element. For example, for a film that is 9 minutes long, one element must appear within every three minutes during the film. When submitting your film, please include the order of your elements and the timestamps (i.e. “01:32”) in which they appear.
PLEASE NOTE: For the competition all films are required to have the opening credits: “Team Name, Title of Film, Created for Short10Cinema, Type of Challenge 2013, www.short10cinema.com” and filmmaker give Short10Cinema the right to use it for marketing and video exhibition. Otherwise it is all yours. We will state that in the rules so it is clear. My apologies.
5. REQUIRED SUBMISSION MATERIALS (Team Packet):
All materials listed below must be submitted or the Team will be disqualified.
DATA DVD or FLASH drive consisting the movie file produced for the competition (DVD must be clearly labeled with marker or inkjet; do not use paper labels).

6. SUBMITTING MATERIALS:
Option 1: Short films along with the team packet are shipped via FedEx, DHL or UPS (package needs a tracking number) by midnight (Pacific Time) on the last day (Monday) and postmarked with a shipping receipt. It does not need to go Next Day Air but should get to us within 7 working days. Short10Cinema is not responsible for lost or damaged material.

7. SHORT10CINEMA SUBMISSION POLICY:
All Entrants must own all rights when submitting their projects. All intrants will provide, stating no limitiations, signed release forms (provided by Short10Cinema) along with their submissions. Entrants will not hold Short10Cinema responsible for claims, damages; Entrant agrees to the Official Rules, and further agrees to indemnify and hold Short10Cinema respective affiliates, officers, directors or other partners, and any of their employees, harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Short10Cinema arising out of the Entrant’s Entry materials in a Short10Cinema Competition, or the Entrant’s conduct during and in connection with Short10Cinema, including but not limited to trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property rights, right of publicity, right of privacy or defamation. Entrant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless
Short10Cinema and its parties from any and all claims that any advertising, presentation, web content or any other material subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf oof Short10Cinema and its parties infringes on the rights of Entrant’s work as contained in any Entry.
8. Teams:
Each team is required to designate one team leader as its representative. Short10Cinema is not liable for any group of individuals who decides to collaborate on an entry and do not hold Short10Cinema and its parties liable for any disputes between the team collaborators arising out of or related to the competition.
Short10Cinema is not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user’s or any other person’s computer equipment resulting from participation in the competions, use of the Short10Cinema website or the download of any information from the website. By participating in the Short10Cinema competitons, Entrants agree to release, indemnify and hold Short10Cinema and its parties harmless from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such Entrant’s participation in all the Short10Cinema competitions.
9. BEST OF SHOW SELECTION:
Qualified judges will evaluate each eligible entry. All decisions are final.
