The exclusive
species in fallows thatwere 6–10 years old were Spondias pinnata,
Dialium cochinchinense, Lagerstroemia calyculata and Aglaia
gagnepainiana, whereas Ailanthus malabarica and Tetramyxis
rubescens were the exclusive species in 11–15 and in 16–20
years old fallows, respectively. These species were among the
least abundant and frequent species recorded on fallows (Table 2).
The occurrence of bamboo, as determined by the number of
bamboo clumps, was not significantly affected by the fallow age
(Table 3).
