RECRUITMENT
1. All recruitment must be carried out in accordance with the staffing levels, which are approved in the manning guide, as part of the annual budget process.
2. The Employee Requisition Form (attached) must be used for recruitment requests and must be approved prior to posting the position. Written approvals must be obtained from the following people before the hiring process commences:
a. Department Head
b. Human Resources Department
c. Director of Finance
d. Chief Executive Officer

3. On the form, the HOD must indicate the budgeted and actual number of staff at the position. This will be checked by HR Department and the Director of Finance. It must clearly state whether the staff is permanent or seasonal hire and the length of contract. The HOD should also clearly indicate the justification for the requisition and qualifications for the position.
4. Any additional qualifications, requirements or conditions, in addition to those described in the position’s job specifications should be indicated.
5. Upon receiving the completed form with all signatures, HR Department will commence recruitment.
6. In keeping with the Unique Collection philosophy of providing our staff with an optimum of career prospects, we will recruit internally when possible. Job openings will be posted on the notice board. If the position cannot be filled internally, priority will be given to hiring from other components of the company, when applicable, before recruiting elsewhere.
7. Recruitment will be directed towards hiring the best candidates to fill the position. Job descriptions and specifications will be used to assist. The candidate must possess the minimum acceptable criteria and qualifications in order to be considered for the job. 8. Internal candidates should apply through their department head who then forwards the candidate’s application to Human Resources.
