City Life
Bath is beautiful. There’s no other word for it. It’s the only city in England to qualify as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is home to some of the country’s most stunning architecture. For the history buffs, there’s the Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge, Royal Crescent and Bath Abbey, and for lovers of Classic Georgian style, there’s the Thermae Bath Spa.
If literature is your thing, you might be interested to learn that Jane Austen lived here at one point, basing two novels, including the famous Northanger Abbey, on the city.
Fast forward to present day and The City of Bath is a buzzing cultural hub, with award-winning restaurants, boutique and high-street stores, great nightclubs, cinemas, plus a huge array of live music and comedy venues.
And pubs of course. Let’s not forget the pubs; many of which are featured regularly in The Good Pub Guide.
Bath is also a famous festival city, both mainstream and fringe, including the International Music Festival, Bath Film Festival, Bath Literature Festival and Shakespeare Unplugged. Many of our students are heavily involved in performing at these festivals.
