The curiosity made the best experience that I will remember for my whole life. My parents take good care of me, especially my mother; I feel I am overprotective. They never let me do everything by myself that makes me hurt. In addition, they always keep an eye on every step of me. When I was 10 years old, I asked my mother to give me a permission to play with fire, but she always said no. Because it was risky and dangerous. I wanted to know how perilous it was then I tried to play the fire with my friends. We thought that we could control it for sure, but actually we could not.
One day of summer break, my parents have gone out since the morning. My mother invited me to go with, I denied her because I did not want to go. My parents were not home. It was a nice day that I was home alone. While I was laying down in bed, the wind was breezing through the windows to me. I felt fresh. I looked outside and saw my friends was scampering in front of my house together. Then I thought that I should join with them.
I hung out with my friends like every day I did. But today is special than other because my parent were not home. They invited me to play hide and seek. It was boring, then I asked them to find more exciting things to do. My friend “Keng” suggested that play cooking. We brought the dry flower to be a vegetable, the sand to be rice and molded the plasticine to be meat. I was a chef and the other was a customer. We used the dry leaves instead of money to pay for food. I glanced at the matches nearly ours while we were playing. Then I got an interesting idea that we should try to play cooking with fire. I set the paper on fire for boiling the water. My friends were excited. While the fire was blazing, the wind was blowing to the flame. The paper was burned around this area, including the dry leaves, flower, and my right forearm was burned, too. My friends were frightened. Unfortunately, my parents were arriving home.
When my friends saw my parents, they ran away with scare and left me alone. My father extinguished a fire by the water. Eventually, the fire was put out. My house was overspread with smokes. My mother was angry. She blamed me and hit my ass. Later on, she bandaged my right forearm carefully and said it would be fine soon. Then I knew that she was anxious about me. I felt remorseful and never ever be angry at her.
In my childhood, I learned that fire is beyond my control. It made me know that my parent’s teaching was important that I should obey. I never knew that something is dangerous until I encountered it by myself. More importantly, I learned about the relationship between me and friends; when we were in troubled situation, a true friend would not ever never leave us alone. Every time when I look at that scar on my skin, I feel it is unmemorable experience. Thenceforward, if I have to do the dangerous thing, I always do it with caution.
