In a typical
experiment, candidate particles as photocatalysts were added into
a series of glass vessels containing 1,4-dichlorobenzene to obtain
suspensions for degradation reaction. After a given irradiation time,
the suspensions were withdrawn and centrifuged to remove the
particles. The degradation process as a function of irradiation time
was monitored by measuring the absorption of 1,4-dichlorobenzene
in the solution at 225 nm with UV–vis absorption spectra.
