British MP John Carlisle provoked how ls of anguish from some of his parliamentary pals by writing an article detailing the perks ot the job. Writing in the House magazine, the Thatcherite revealed that armed with his MP pass, he could get wbat be wanted. To date, Mr. Carlisle has gate-crashed and jumped the queue at a Buckingham Palace garden party, secured free centre court tickets at Wimbledon, enjoyed the hospitality at Heathrow Airport's VIP lounge and conned his way into coucerts at Glyndebourne and the Albert Hall.
