OPEs have been consistently detected and reported in multiple wildlife samples spanning the last 20 years, although at low ppb levels. Very
recently, we demonstrated bioaccumulation of low parts-per-billion
levels of several OP triesters in herring gull (Larus argentatus) eggs
from across the North American Great Lakes collected between 1990
and 2010, despite there being large OPE volume production changes
over the same period
