The following conclusions could be drawn from the results obtained in the current study:
1. The solid content and apparent viscosity of the MSF adhesives substantially increased when ATP was introduced. Based on the shear strength and water resistance, the optimum addition of ATP was 2 wt%.
2. The shear strength and water resistance of the MSF adhesive significantly increased upon addition of ATP. When the 2 wt% of ATP was added, the wet shear strength of the MSF adhesive improved by 17.4% compared to the control sample, and all of the samples passed the two-cycle boil test according to ANSI/HPVA
HP-1-2000.
3. Based on the XRD and FTIR results, no chemical reactions occurred during the curing process. However, physical filling successfully occurred between ATP and the MSF adhesive. ATP formed a physical bond with MSF adhesive.
