Regarding of Koy-san proposal, here I'll provide you further information for your clear understanding.
Since we started an operation in year 2011 we're using Express software as a database management system to control each process and each department database but in fact there is only accounting & purchasing department is using this program.
Well, Koy-san would like to utilize this program by asking every department cooperation to use this program as a daily operation instead an excel manual file thus database sharing is reachable to every department. below is rough process flow
Purchasign (PU) : issue PO by Express (input material type, QTY and so on)
Production contraol : operate PC function through Express
- Input a material receiving data such as QTY, type, etc (automatically link to PO database which is create by PU)
- update material requisition and balance stock
- input FG quantity data
Sales : issue invoice through Express base on FG database of PC
Accounting : accumulated and calculate each department data through Express
So, if we useful of Express software its will be more accurate database and much easier to access
but currently PC and sales dept. is daily operate by excel file manual
However, we have been set up this system last time by oneself but did not successful due to lack of PC cooperation
Below is my proposals
1. Let an accounting firm to come and set up (but make sure every dept. will do the daily operation strictly through Express and no more manual)
2. Set up by oneself (but make sure we have enough manpower to such kind of set up process such as material & FG balance stock counting)
3. Bargain with the current accounting firm or look for other firm and compare
BTW, Before making a decision we better discuss with related persons and conclude solution together as well
