3.2. Soil quality indicators
Table 6 summarizes the effect of the different fertilizer treatments
on the physical, chemical and biological soil quality indicators
tested. For most of the parameters, there were no significant
differences (p > 0.05) among the treatments, the exceptions being
the mineralizable N content and earthworm abundance. However,
there was an interesting trend (N0 < N300 < PS45) over both years
monitored that might indicate a long-term benefit from fertilizer
treatments, especially PS45.
