3.2. Effect of pH on decolorization
Kinetics of MG decolorization in the cultures of P. pinophilum
and M. roridum when mycelia were grown for up to 48 h in liquid
CzD medium of initial pH 4, 5, 6 and 7 were compared. Data from
Fig. 1 indicate that differentiation of the initial pH had no considerable
influence on the dynamics or efficiency of MG removal by
P. pinophilum. In the following time periods decolorization levels
(regardless of the initial pH value) were very similar (with difference
smaller than 10%). In contrast, during the first 8 h of
M. roridum culturing the rate of MG decolorization depended
