Don't be afraid
Many Thais seem to be "allergic" to foreigners who ask them for directions. They are too afraid of making a mistake to answer.
Well, don't be afraid. You can learn the English necessary if you pay attention in your classes. That is the message from Krunoom Asean (Young Asean Teacher) in a popular new video.
I don't know how well Krunoom Asean speaks English but the song is actually in T'english, a Thai version of English, which makes it much more fun and easy to understand for young students.
In the song, Krunoom teaches a short grammar lesson on the verb "to be". I think a short lesson on how to understand the "farang' might be better. For example:
Can you repeat that?
Can you speak a little more slowly please?
Can you write that for me?
Do you have a map?
But the lesson is on the verb "to be". When you finish his lesson, can your fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verb 'to be' in the sentences below?
