Compared to control treatment, the atmosphere NH3
concentration in chicken houses was decreased by 30%
in poultry house with alum amended litter (control, 29.2
mg m-3 vs. alum treatment, 20.4 mg m-3, Fig. 2). As
there were only 2 experimental houses, the data of
ammonia were not subjected to statistical analysis.
