Two thirds of the business year is now behind us, and it is only four months until year-end. The current business situation is quite good. According to recent forecasts, we believe we can almost reach our 2015 group net sales targets and exceed those of the previous year. This is another step in the right direction.
The “Clarity” program: the basis for profitable growth and becoming a best-in-class company. My next point also has to do with the direction we are heading. During the past few months, I have worked intensively together with our board of directors to collectively determine the answer to the question: What is success at ERNI? Based on a common vision for the year 2020, we have defined:
Although quite challenging, I believe these figures are achievable. We have excellent products and competences and operate in attractive markets that offer potential for the future. In order to achieve this vision and to get us in shape for the future, together with my colleagues I have developed a program that we will put into place in the next 18-24 months. It is called “Clarity”, because in my opinion, this term describes what we need to improve upon. We need to create clarity about what we do, how we do it and who does it.
