Jasmonic acid (JA) and its methyl ester, methyl jasmonate
(MeJA), exist naturally in a wide range of higher plants. Exogenous
MeJA treatment could reduce a number of stress induced injuries
during the post harvest period in intact and fresh-cut fruits and
vegetables (Gonzalez-Aguilar, Tiznado-Hernandez, & Wang, 2006;
Meir et al., 1996).
