Several analytical methods have been proposed for the deter-
mination of carbamate residues in different matrices, including capillary zone electrophoresis
(CZE) [5], micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) [6], gas chromatography (GC) [7]
and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) [8–10]. HPLC coupled with different detectors is
the most commonly used techniques seeing that HPLC shows a prominent advantage in
analyzing non-volatile and thermally labile compounds.
