viii. MMS management functions
12. The NMS shall support automatic troubleshooting in response to common alarms.
13. The NMS shall support troubleshooting of all Nodal Elements by sending commands to any Nodal Element from the NMS.
14. It shall be possible to access the specific trouble shooting information from the alarms in the alarm list.
15. It shall be possible for the operator to define additional customised textual descriptions for each alarm which shall be passable on the NBI interface.
16. It shall be possible for the operator to enable/disable all alarms.
17. It shall be possible for the operator to acknowledge all alarms. Acknowledgment fault override shall be possible for non-clearance of the alarms over a period of time.
18. The system shall support the ceased alarm functionality. When the fault is solved, an automatic "alarm off" event should be generated, which shall be correlated to the original alarm(s) so that they are removed from the active alarm list.
19. When the connection to the Nodal Element is recovered, the NMS shall synchronise the active alarms for that Nodal Element automatically. This implies that the NMS shall show all the current active alarms for that Network Element even if they were generated during the period in which the Network Element was not accessible.
20. The EMS shall provide real time alarms which are logged and graphically shown on a per nodal element layer.
21. The NMS shall provide automatic and manual alarm synchronisation capabilities for all Nodal Elements.
22. The NMS shall support various remote test and diagnosis function, including, but not limited to remote loopback testing, remote reset, remote monitoring of optical module, the simulation testing and the other functions.
23. The NMS shall support a rapid recovery function for the Leased Line customer, just as the remote resetting function and quickly changing ONU function that the service configuration will be automatically finished after the new ONU is online
24. The NMS system shall support service migration from one GPON port to the other for the load sharing or GPON port failure
25. The NMS system shall support end to end visualized view from OLT to ONT to do the fault demarcation
