The basal part was washed to remove the agar residues. The entities were then transferred into four different ex vitro potting media for acclimatization. These media were sphagnum, vermiculite, peat and a mixture (vermiculite: peat = 1:1 by volume). During the first week of acclimatization the plastic pots (top diameter 7.5 cm, bottom diameter 5.3 cm, height 6.0 cm) were filled with these media and then placed in shallow water (1.5 cm deep) in a container covered by transparent cellophane.
