Homeostasis
Homeostasis is the ability to achieve a state of dynamic equilibrium. The review of literature has identified a number of examples of homeostasis, which tend to have three component parts: an identified trend or stimulus, a clear statement of the desired future state, and an innovative or proactive response. For example, Professions Australia (2005) identified that: “Better workforce data (trend) needs to be supported by more comprehensive and higher quality research into skills formation issues (innovative response) to better understand the economic and social issues impacting on health (desired future state).”
