Sophia Antipolis Science Park, France
The first science park to be set up in France, Sophia Antipolis is a community of research and educational institutions, development corporations and production engineering centres as well as public and private sector institutions. It houses a community of companies, engineers and technicians and students. The 30-year old park is the focus of hi-tech economic activity at the heart of the French Riviera in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, which is world-famous for its tourist attractions. International companies, mainly from the United States, use Sophia Antipolis as a hub for developing their operations for the European market.
