2.3. Extraction of palm kernel oil using Soxhlet method
Soxhlet extraction for comparison with supercritical extraction was carried out in duplicate for 15 g of palm kernel with 200 ml n-hexane for 6 h. The sample was then dried in the oven at 103 ± 1 °C for 2 h after which it was cooled in desiccators before reweighing.
