great nutritional and medicinal value. Pleurotus eryngii, also called
king oyster mushroom, is a precious commercial edible fungus
with a high output in China. Pileus and stipe of Pleurotus eryngii
are pleasantly chewy and palatable with an odour of almond. Furthermore,
the slices of P. eryngii could be cooked quickly and maintain
the firm textures during cooking (Kim & et al., 2009). In
addition, fresh fruit bodies of P. eryngii could be fabricated into
canned foods
