Combination Treatment
Participants in the combination treatment condition
(COMB) received all the components from the medication-only
and CBT-only treatment conditions, with the
exception that the participant, parent(s), and clinician
were aware that the child/adolescent was receiving
active SRT and active CBT. Pharmacotherapy and CBT
visits typically took place on the same day, with the participant
seeing the PT therapist first. Clinicians were
encouraged to discuss the clinical status of each COMB
patient to allow for treatment integration. For example,
the PT therapist could increase the dose of SRT (or
not), depending on whether the participant was making
sufficient progress in CBT. With the exception of one
site, COMB treatment visits were held at the same
location
