Figures 17 and 18 show stress rheometer creep data for a
model iron oxide magnetic suspension in which a silicone(3)
oil was used in place of the usual volatile solvent. The data in
Figure 19 were obtained at a stress of 2 Pa, and show that all
of the strain during the creep portion of the test is recovered,
indicating that no permanent deformation occurred, and
the sample is below its yield stress. Figure 19 shows data for
