Me, as one of thaitrade.com administrator, has some tip for applying seller i.d. in the website to share.
The process of being sell i.d. is start with your click at Apply seller in “MY Account” and complete seller applicant. Then we, the administrators will collect all the seller applicants to DEP (Department of Export Promotion). Committee from DEP will approve your applicant based on your qualification and sent the result to us, administrator. Finally we, administrators return the result to all of you which take around three weeks since you sent your seller applicant.
Please notice that your applicant would be approved or reject is depended on your qualification solely. You can impress our committee and get approval easily if you show off how competent you are by show all of awards your company get, all certificated your company have or at least how enthusiasm you have by reveal name and year of activity you participated with DEP. Please be certain that you don’t blank qualification field in your application because your applicant would get reject in return.
Note:
In seller applicant, any symbol (+,-) is not allow in telephone and mobile field.
Only seller applicant from Thai company is accepted.

I already take a look at that link and can confirm your word. It's totally a spam with a cheap trick tries to access other member i.d. by asking other i.d. / email / password.
I'm glad that you did not trust that link and I'll do what i can do to prevent or solve this trouble.
