A one-way ANOVA was conducted to evaluate the relationship between safety and security index and human development. The independent variable, safety and security index included two levels: Low SS and High SS. The dependent variable was the human development score. The ANOVA was significant F(1, 51)= 5.36, p= 0.25. The strength of the relationship between safety and security index and human development as assess by η2= .28 was strong with safety and security factor accounting for 28% of variance of human development. The results of the ANOVA allowed to rejecting the null hypothesis H0 and supporting the conclusion that there is a statistically significant and strong relationship between safety and security score and human development.
