The trial SIA resulted in two types of findings which are presented in
this paper. In the next section (Section 8) we provide our assessment of
the strengths and weaknesses of our adapted SIA as a methodology and
as a potential practical tool for responsible tourism development practice.
Here, however, we discuss the outputs of the SIA as carried out
with Odysseia-In in terms of: the identification of tourism issues and
contextual information; potential/existing social impacts; opportunities
for embedding SIA into existing operations; proposed actions; and monitoring
indicators.
