In the book, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The lightning thief, the main conflict is that Zeus’s lightning bolt has been stolen and Poseidon is the suspect. In injustice, his son, Percy Jackson is the one to blame and is now responsible for returning to lightning bolt before the Summer Solstice. With the help of his satyr, Grover, and the request from Annabeth, daughter of Athena, to join on the mission, he goes on his first quest which he has only ten days max to complete. But while on his quest, he still needs to incorporate a plan on getting his mother back from Hades, which was the original reason he accepted it in the first place. And if it still wasn’t dissatisfying enough, they are constantly being hunted by monsters along the way.
