Liew Niyomkarn is an artist who approaches sound and composition through architectural, sculpture, installation and drawing, discovers physiological and psychological responses of human existence, often expresses a sensory of playful events and nonsensical methodology. Liew's work uncovers a connection among natural contingency, ephemeral behaviors of mediums and testimonial failure, a gap between everything in everyday life, how those gaps can be evolved into another dialogue that unrelated to its original. Recently, her works have shifted into in-site work, installation and sculpture that combine material realms and phenomena of the natural environment, reiterating and mimicking of its demeanor.
Liew's installation works have been shown at venues including James-Simon-Park in Berlin associated with Urban Solar Audio Plant event ,The wave cave in Los Angeles. Her sound pieces have been played on JET FM radio in France, Spazioerstti gallery. She has performed in Germany, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and USA.
