Aung San Suu Kyi’s life was a little different then what most people are accustomed to in the world. Her father was assassinated for his political beliefs and her mother was an ambassador of the country of Burma. Politics played a big role in her life. Ever since her plunge into the Burma's political scene, Aung San Suu Kyi has been against military rule and dictatorship and is working relentlessly in making the country feature among the democratic nations of the world. For the same, she has suffered more than 15 years of detention, most of it which was under house arrest. Finally, In 2013 she wins reelection as opposition leader.
