No patients in either group received leukotriene
antagonists or any other type of control medication.
Salbutamol was the only permitted rescue therapy in case
of acute asthma attacks. In both groups, the number of
exacerbations was the same before and during the study.
Compliance with fluticasone/salbutamol treatment was
also equal in both groups. No patients were hospitalized
due to asthma attacks, whether in the run-in period or
during training.
