Carbon materialwasproducedfromthegraphitizationofglucoseathightemperaturein
flowing argon.TheproducedcarbonmaterialwascharacterizedusingScanningelectron
microscopy,Transmissionelectronmicroscopy,RamanspectroscopyandXRD.Carbon
slurryoftheproducedcarbonwasmadeinethanolbyusingpolyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)as
surfactant.Carbonslurrywascoatedhomogeneouslyonfluorinedopedtinoxide(FTO)
glass byadoctorbladetechniqueandappliedascounterelectrodefordyesynthesized
solar cell.Thecurrentdensity(J) andopencircuitvoltage(VOC) offabricatedcellwas
8.30 mAcm2 and 0.77Vrespectively.Theefficiencyofthecellwas3.63%,whichis
comparableto5.82%ofcellwithplatinumcounterelectrodeunderthesameexperimental
conditions.
