Nonparametric
Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests were used to
evaluate the presence of significant differences between the different
measurement methods and types of mulch with respect to the soil
loss and/or soil erosion rate because the assumptions of normality or homogeneity of variances were rejected. For all analyses, a value of
p b 0.05 was considered statistically significant, and the open-source R
software was used.
