Omega OM-481 (Omega, Stamford, CT) and
Omnidata polycorder (Omnidata International
Inc., Logan, UT) temperature recording devices
with thermistor or thermocouple probes were
used to record air and pulp temperatures. Fruit
were probed through the flesh to seed depth using
a metal spike or screwdriver and the hole or
cavity was sealed with orange oil and masking
tape.
