DESIGN FOR TOUCH
Mobile devices generally use different interaction styles. They often inhabit the world of direct manipulation via touch, rather than older WIMP (windows, icon, menus, pointer) interactions used by desktop computers. Although tablet computers have a tendency to be used in a much more desktop like manner, their screen is still significantly smaller than desktop machines and their users will have different interaction styles such as swiping and pinching. Content you can touch is enticing, but make sure you allow for the fact that human fingers are larger and more imprecise than a mouse pointer. Buttons and other hit targets should be large and not too close together. For any mobile devices, hover states like drop-down menus can be problematic.
