Parents have hopes and goals for their children. They have high standards and dreams for their children to achieve when they grow old. However, should parents have different hopes for their sons than daughters?Males and females are different, but equal. Therefore, parents should treat all their children the same way and base goals and standards off of their children as they grow with new interests. Treating their children differently could be a problem. Daughters and sons may feel upset at there siblings because of the standards and goals parents give them. Parents should set rules, standards, and hopes without adding gender biases. Parents want there daughters to be pretty and skinny, and their sons to be intelligent. People should learn that girls and boys may be different, but they should be treated equal, and have some of the same standards and hopes. I sometimes wonder if my parents hopes and standards for me have changed based on my gender.
