Since Amsterdam is a northern European city, it is called “Venice of the North” while both Bangkok and Suzhou are considered as “ Venice of the East”, but for the most cases “Venice of the Orient” for Suzhou. The townscape peculiar to these settlements and their architecture are both derived from hydrographic conditions, which make them the most unique and fascinating places ever created by human being. But the more interesting thing is how they manage to go along with the modern world.
