Apart from these endothermic events near the glass
transition temperature, DSC curves showed a sub-Tg endothermic peak located between 45 and 60 ◦C.
These endothermic peaks can be clearly seen in samples having 12.5 and 14.4% of moisture content (i.e., vertical arrows at around 50 ◦C in Fig. 2).
At lower moisture contents (i.e., 8 and 10%) the figure scale prevents these sub-Tg endotherms from being seen. In general, this sub-Tg endothermic peak also appeared in the first heating scan of CS–CO- 4.5% (in samples with moisture content lower than 10.1%) and in CS–CO-6.6% (in samples with moisture content lower than 8.5%) samples.
