Accommodating

• To minimize losses when defeat is inevitable.
• When harmony and stability are particularly important.
• To allow subordinates a chance to learn from their mistakes.
As with so many things, there is no one best way to manage conflict, Rather, successful conflict management is likely by carefully matching the style with the situation, a topic to which we will return in our discussion of leadership (see Chapter 13).
