US Department of Transport’s database 1B
• (DB1B).DB1B provides data on the US domestic aviation market. It is a very reliable source of data, representing a 10% sample of origin-destination passengers and air travel price for each airline on each city-pair route (e.g. New York-Los Angeles). Quarterly traffic and price data was taken for the period from 1994 Q1 to 2005 Q4 for the top 1000 city pair routes (by traffic). Traffic figures reflect the actual number of passengers on a particular route during the given quarter, while average travel price reflects the estimated average one-way price paid (in USD)
