1) There was no coordination /communication from the hotel as to where/who/how I was to pick up the lunch boxes. I arrived early in case this happened. If I had not asked the desk manager to help me locate the lunches, I'm not sure how the hotel planned to deliver them to me.
2) the lunch boxes were not labelled with people's names. The manager located 4 lunches in the front seat of the van we were to take to the site. When I looked inside the bags, there were no names affixed to the boxes, so there was no way to tell which individual got what lunch.
3) I explained this to the manager. He went back to the kitchen, and the rest of the lunches appeared on a luggage trolley. When I opened the sacks to check for names, there were a few names, but most boxes were not labelled with a name.
4) I finally had to line the lunches up on the fountain counter inside the Centara lobby, request someone to bring in the 4 lunches in the car, and then the Centara staff labelled the boxes with names.
5) The problem is, the names were not correct to the lunch box ordered by the person.
We had two cars, and I had to try to figure out which boxes went with which transport. As it worked out, even when we opened the box lunches with names, the lunch was not what the person ordered...it was a disaster.
I think the lunch was the 'treat' for the day, and everyone was looking forward to it. But the scenario was people who did not want spicy TH, ended up with Spicy TH etc. So, the 'treat' became a rebellion. Some people did not eat and lunches were wasted.
